Holy Baptism

Why be Baptized in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost

Matthew 28:18-20

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

John 3

“Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born from above.”

“Amen, amen, I say to you, no one can enter the kingdom of God without being born of Water and Spirit. What is born of flesh is flesh and what is born of spirit is spirit.

Do not be amazed that I told you, ‘You must be born form above.’ The wind blows where it wills, and you can hear the sound it makes, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes; so it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.

No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man.

And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, so that everyone who believes may have eternal life.

For God so loved the world that he gave His Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him might not perish but might have eternal life. For God did not send his Son to condemn the world, but that the world may be saved through him. Whoever believes in Him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.

Unless we are baptized, we cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Those who are baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit are children of God, sons and daughters of the Most High, heirs to the kingdom of God.

We must be born again of the Water and the Spirit that we may partake of the kingdom of God and inherit salvation through the grace of God and by the power of the blood of Christ who brought forth salvation unto many.

Those who are baptized share in the many graces and blessings bestowed upon us by God.

Through Water, we are saved. Through the Spirit, we are glorified. Baptism by water and the spirit bringeth us unto eternal life.

People of God, be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit that we may partake in the kingdom of God and share inheritance with Christ and inherit salvation and merit eternal life.
