Why We Should Receive Holy Communion, The Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ
Each time we receive Holy Communion our venial sins are forgiven.
Our Lord Jesus Christ revealed to Saint Gertrude the Great that each time 1 person receives Holy Communion, something good happens to every being in Heaven, on Earth, and in Purgatory.
The Curate of Ars said that a Communion well received is more than 20,000 Francs given to the poor.
Each time we receive Communion, our place in heaven is raised forever, our stay in Purgatory shortened.
John 6 Do not work for food that perishes but for the food that endures for eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him, the Father, God has set his seal.
“Amen, amen, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave the bread from heaven,; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.
“I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me will never hunger, and whoever believes in me will never thirst.
Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.
I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the desert, but they died; this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die. I am the living bread that comes down form heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world.
“Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him.
Just as the living Father sent me and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your ancestors who ate and still died, whoever eats this bread will live forever.
